The Challenges and Rewards of Victim Assistance Coordinators (4 min. Video)

If You Need to Talk With Someone

The first obligation of our Church in responding to the sexual abuse of minors by members of the Church is to provide healing and reconciliation. The role of the Victim Assistance Coordinator (VAC) is to provide care and compassion to survivors of abuse and their families. The Diocese is honored to have this responsibility.

The Victim Assistance Coordinator (VAC) manages the Victim Assistance Programs. Care is provided to victims and their families as they travel through the journey of healing. The VAC works to refer and coordinate treatment and counseling and to address the needs of survivors and their families in the diocese.
