College Campus Ministry
Welcome! The Office for College Campus Ministry exists to form missionary disciples of all college students in the diocese. We do this by supporting campus ministry efforts at all college campuses within the diocese. These campus ministries work to establish places of authentic community where students encounter Jesus Christ and His Church, and then be sent out as missionaries in the midst of the world.

John Paul II Commons Newman Center
The JPII Commons, located in the heart of Kansas City between the UMKC and Rockhurst University campuses, is the home of a dynamic student community.
On the residential side (top two floors), it offers an array of unique suites where students can live in community with others in an inspired, faith-based environment.
On the ministry side, the Newman Center (located on the bottom floor), will provide a place for all students, both residents and non-residents, to come to events, to meet friends, or to study.
The center is dedicated to St. John Paul the Great, who had a heart for young people, to whom he boldly declared “Open wide the doors to Christ!”
