Novena for the Dignity of Human Life

Bishop Johnston has asked for a 9-month novena on the 25th of each month starting in February. The novena is intended to encourage prayer to end the threats to human dignity in the state of Missouri. Bishop Johnston specifically requests prayer related to continuing concerns in our community impacting immigrant families amid the ongoing surge in deportation efforts as well as threats to abortion restrictions in our state.

Later this year, voters in Missouri will once again be asked to address abortion laws in our state, particularly restoring restrictions that have long protected women in Missouri but have been threatened by the 2024 passing of Amendment 3. In 2026, Missourians will have the opportunity to restore many of the restrictions that have been threatened, by voting ‘yes’ on the pro-life Amendment 3.
