Bishop Johnston made the following clergy assignment effective April 1, 2025:

Dcn. Shane Voyles has been assigned to St. Mary Parish in Independence.

Bishop Johnston has made the following clergy assignments effective April 15, 2025:

Rev. Thomas Holder has been assigned Parochial Administrator of Holy Spirit Parish in Lee’s Summit. He retains his assignment as Pastor of Our Lady of the Presentation Parish in Lee’s Summit.

Rev. George Palliparambil has been assigned Parochial Vicar of Holy Spirit Parish in Lee’s Summit. He concludes his assignment as Parochial Vicar of St. John LaLande Parish in Blue Springs.

Bishop Johnston made the following clergy assignment effective April 16, 2025:

Rev. Joseph Sharbel concludes his assignment as Pastor of Holy Spirit Parish in Lee’s Summit and is on a leave of absence from active priestly ministry.

Bishop Johnston has made the following clergy assignment effective May 15, 2025:

Mr. Dan Stump has been assigned to assist the Pastor of Nativity of Our Lady Parish in Independence and St. Bernadette Parish in Kansas City, upon his ordination to the transitional diaconate.

Bishop Johnston has made the following clergy assignments effective May 27, 2025:

Rev. Justin Hoye has been granted a sabbatical through August 15.

Rev. Paul Sappington will serve as Parochial Administrator of St. Thomas More Parish in Kansas City, until July 1. He retains his assignments as Chaplain at St. Michael the Archangel High School and Chaplain to the University of Missouri – Kansas City.

Bishop Johnston has made the following clergy assignments effective July 1, 2025 (unless otherwise noted, current assignments conclude June 30, 2025):

Rev. Matthew Bartulica has been appointed Chaplain to the Newman Center at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph. He retains his assignments as Pastor of St. Joseph Parish, Easton, and Chaplain to the Abbey of Our Lady of Ephesus, Gower.

Rev. Jonathan Davis has been appointed Pastor of St. James Parish in St. Joseph. He retains his assignment as Pastor at St. Patrick Parish.

Rev. William Fox has been appointed Pastor of St. Mary Parish in Carrollton, Immaculate Conception Parish in Richmond, and Sacred Heart Mission in Norborne.

Rev. Adam Haake has been appointed Assistant Chaplain to St. Michael the Archangel High School in Lee’s Summit. He has also been appointed to temporary sacramental ministry at Jeanne Jugan Center until August 31. He retains his assignments as Pastor of St. Margaret of Scotland Parish in Lee’s Summit, and Chaplain to the City on a Hill apostolate.

Rev. Garrett King has been appointed Pastor of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in St. Joseph.

Rev. Andrew Kleine has been appointed Pastor of Sacred Heart Parish in Warrensburg.

Rev. Randolfo Angel Lemus has been appointed Parochial Administrator of Our Lady of Peace Parish in Kansas City. He retains his assignment at St. Mark Parish in Independence. He concludes his assignment as Parochial Vicar at Our Lady of the Presentation Parish in Lee’s Summit.

Rev. Emmanuel Garduño Lopez has been appointed Pastor of St. John Francis Regis Parish in Kansas City.

Rev. Samuel Miloscia has been appointed Parochial Vicar of St. Thomas More Parish in Kansas City. He concludes his assignment as Parochial Vicar of St. Mark Parish in Independence.

Rev. Andrés Moreno concludes his assignment as Parochial Administrator of Our Lady of Peace Parish in Kansas City and retains his assignment as Pastor of St. Anthony Parish in Kansas City.

Rev. Ralph Obetia, AJ has been appointed Parochial Vicar at St. Therese Little Flower [North] Parish in Kansas City. He retains service to the Diocesan Tribunal. He concludes his assignment as Parochial Vicar at St. Peter Parish in Kansas City and his appointment as sacramental minister to Jeanne Jugan Center.

Rev. Ethan Osborn has been appointed Parochial Vicar of St. Peter Parish in Kansas City and Assistant Vocation Director, subsequent to his ordination to the priesthood. He concludes his diaconal assignment at St. John LaLande Parish in Blue Springs on May 23.

Rev. Lac Pham, CPPS has been appointed Pastor of St. James Parish in Liberty. He concludes his assignment as Parochial Vicar at St. Francis Xavier Parish in St. Joseph.

Rev. Michael Roach concludes his assignment as Pastor at St. James Parish in Liberty and has been granted retirement status.

Rev. Matthew Rotert has been appointed Pastor of St. Thomas More Parish in Kansas City. He concludes his assignment as Pastor of St. Peter Parish, Kansas City. He also concludes his appointment as sacramental minister to Jeanne Jugan Center.

Rev. Nathan Rueb has been appointed Pastor of St. Peter Parish in Kansas City. He retains his assignment as Vocation Director. He concludes his assignment as Parochial Administrator of Coronation of Our Lady Parish in Grandview.

Rev. Paul Sappington has been appointed Parochial Administrator of Coronation of Our Lady Parish in Grandview. He retains his assignments as Chaplain at St. Michael the Archangel High School and Chaplain to the University of Missouri – Kansas City.

Rev. Randolph Sly concludes his assignment as Parochial Vicar of St. Therese Little Flower [North] Parish in Kansas City and is granted retirement status. He continues to serve the parish as Senior Priest in Residence.

Rev. Sunoj Thomas has been appointed Pastor of St. Charles Borromeo Parish in Kansas City.

Rev. Pius Wesonga has been appointed Parochial Vicar at Our Lady of the Presentation Parish in Lee’s Summit. He concludes his assignment as Parochial Vicar at St. Thomas More Parish in Kansas City.

Rev. Alex Kreidler concludes his assignment as Pastor of St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish in Kansas City on July 11. Details of his future assignment will be released soon. 

Rev. Samuel Horan has been assigned sacramental and pastoral duties at St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish in Kansas City, until July 31. He retains his assignment as Parochial Vicar at St. Andrew the Apostle Parish in Gladstone.

Rev. Eric Schneider has been appointed as temporary Parochial Administrator of St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish in Kansas City, concluding July 31. He retains his assignment as Pastor of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish in Gladstone.

Rev. Benjamin Armentrout has been appointed Parochial Administrator of St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish in Kansas City and Defender of the Bond on the Marriage Tribunal. He concludes his assignment as Chaplain to Bishop LeBlond High School in St. Joseph.

Rev. Stephen Hansen has been appointed Assistant Chaplain to Bishop LeBlond High School in St. Joseph. He retains his assignments as Pastor of Co-Cathedral of St. Joseph and St. Mary Parishes in St. Joseph.

Rev. Garrett King has been appointed Head Chaplain to Bishop LeBlond High School in St. Joseph. He concludes his assignment as Chaplain to the Newman Center at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph. He retains his assignment as Pastor of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, St. Joseph. 

Bishop Johnston has made the following clergy assignment effective September 1, 2025:

Rev. Thomas Hawkins concludes his assignment as Pastor of St. Mary Parish in Higginsville on August 31 and is granted retirement status.

Rev. Justin Hoye has been appointed Pastor of St. Mary Parish in Higginsville. He retains his assignment as Vicar for Priests. He concludes his assignment as Pastor of St. Thomas More Parish in Kansas City and his role as Dean of Deanery II on June 30, 2025.
