2023 – 2024 Priest Assignment Updates
Bishop Johnston has made the following priest assignment effective November 13, 2023:
Fr. Stephen Hansen concluded his assignment as Interim President of St. Joseph Academy. He retains his assignments at St. Joseph Cathedral, St. Mary and Our Lady of Guadalupe Parishes in St. Joseph.
Bishop Johnston has made the following priest assignment effective January 1, 2024:
Fr. Benjamin Armentrout has been assigned to offer the 1962 Roman Missal Mass on Sundays at St. James Parish in St. Joseph. In the event of a shortage of available priests, he is to offer another Sunday Mass at St. James Parish or Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in St. Joseph. He retains his current assignment at Bishop LeBlond High School. His current assignments at St. Joseph Cathedral, St. Mary Parish and Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish concluded December 31, 2023.
Bishop Johnston has made the following priest assignment effective January 16, 2024:
Fr. Benjamin Fenlon has been appointed Parochial Vicar of St. Joseph Cathedral and St. Mary Parish in St. Joseph. Additionally, he will provide sacramental and pastoral ministry at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, St. Joseph.
Bishop Johnston has made the following priest assignment effective February 1, 2024:
Fr. Ramiro Sanchez Chan, c.s. has concluded his assignment as parochial administrator at Holy Rosary Parish, Kansas City.
Bishop Johnston has made the following priest assignment effective February 2, 2024:
Fr. Van Sau Nguyen, c.s. has been assigned as parochial administrator at Holy Rosary Parish, Kansas City.
Bishop Johnston has made the following priest assignment effective March 31, 2024:
Fr. Stephen Hansen concludes his assignment as parochial administrator at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, St. Joseph. He retains his current assignments at the Cathedral of St. Joseph, St. Mary Parish in St. Joseph, and the Catholic Medical Association of St. Joseph.
Bishop Johnston has made the following priest assignment effective April 1, 2024:
Fr. Christian Malewski resumes residence and duties as pastor of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, St. Joseph.
