Lenten Fish Fries across the diocese

Lent is a wonderful time to gather in fellowship and support local Catholic communities. Check out this list and find a fish fry that works best for you! Don’t see your parish’s Lenten offerings listed? Ask the event organizers to email vrooman@diocesekcsj.org with the information.

• Church of the Good Shepherd, Smithville: Six Fridays, February 20 – March 26. 4:30 – 7:00 p.m. Menu: $15 Shrimp Dinner, Fish Dinner (cod, baked or fried), Combo Dinner (half cod, half shrimp).  Dinners for seniors (60+) and children (7-12) are $13. Only $9 for a refill. Dinner includes a choice of potatoes, corn, coleslaw, cornbread and drink.  $5 for a grilled cheese sandwich, or cheese pizza with all the extras. The menu changes every week. $15 for adults, $7 for children 6-12, free for children 5 and under. Clergy, police, firefighters and all first responders in uniform eat free. • St. Charles Borromeo, Kansas City: February 20 and March 6 & 27. 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Menu: $12 batter-fried fish, baked fish, or clam chowder, $14 Cajun shrimp. All served with a baked potato, coleslaw, Italian bread, green beans and dessert. $5 pizza and macaroni & cheese. Dine in or take out.
