2023 – 2024 Priest Assignment Updates

Bishop Johnston has made the following priest assignments effective September 1, 2023 (concluding assignments effective August 31, 2023): 

Rev. Dominic Duc Nguyen has been assigned to provide sacramental and pastoral ministry at the Cathedral of St. Joseph and St. Mary Parish, St. Joseph. He retains his office as Pastor of St. Paul the Apostle Parish, Tarkio and St. Benedict Mission, Burlington Junction.

Rev. Gan Nguyen, C.Ss.R. has been appointed Parochial Vicar of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, Kansas City.

Rev. Thanh Nguyen, C.Ss.R. concludes his term as Parochial Vicar of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, Kansas City.

Rev. Andrew Thompson, C.Ss.R. concludes his term as Parochial Vicar of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, Kansas City.

Rev. James White, C.Ss.R. concludes his term as Superior of the Redemptorist House of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, Kansas City.

Rev. Donald Willard, C.Ss.R. has been appointed Pastor of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, Kansas City.

Rev. Gary Ziuraitis, C.Ss.R. concludes his term as Pastor of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, Kansas City.

Bishop Johnston has made the following priest assignments effective September 17, 2023 (concluding assignments effective September 16, 2023): 

Rev. Canon Michael Stein, ICRSS has been appointed Rector of the Oratory of Old St. Patrick, Kansas City.

Rev. Canon Andrew Todd, ICRSS concludes his appointment as Rector of the Oratory of Old St. Patrick, Kansas City.

Other 2023-2024 Assignments

Bishop Johnston made the following clergy assignments effective September 1, 2023 (concluding assignments effective August 31, 2023):

Deacon Randall Holtman concludes his assignments at St. Rose of Lima Parish, Savannah and St. Patrick Mission, Forest City. He retains his assignment at St. Gregory Barbarigo Parish, Maryville.

Deacon Carl Johnson has been assigned to St. Rose of Lima Parish, Savannah and St. Patrick Mission, Forest City. He retains his assignment with the Buchanan County Emergency Medical Services.

Bishop Johnston made the following clergy assignment effective July 1, 2023:

Deacon John Purk, SOLT has been assigned to St. Andrew the Apostle Parish, Gladstone. He retains his assignment at Guardian Angels Parish, Kansas City.

Bishop Johnston made the following clergy assignment effective June 25, 2023:

Deacon David Healy concludes his assignment at St. Thomas More Parish, Kansas City.
